Due to the growth of our business in Singapore an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Executive to join our team in the Singapore office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively target and recruit Financial Advisers who have strong General Insurance business in both personal lines and commercial lines.
  • Motivate existing network of Financial Advisers who to support and transfer their General Insurance portfolios to facilitate growth of new businesses.  
  • Seek out opportunities to develop or replace schemes which the Financial Advisory firms have with competitors.
  • Influence and develop a strong pool of Branch Managers to actively motivate their downlines to work with Liberty as their preferred General Insurance partner.
  • Develop and ensure effective relationship management with new and existing Financial Advisers to increase sales to meet business targets and to ensure long term business partnership.
  • Advise Financial Advisers on policies and operating procedures and processes to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
  • Monitor and analyze Financial Advisers’ performance to determine focus of sales efforts and ensuring profitable growth.
  • Conduct trainings and presentations to small groups of Financial Advisers
  • Interact with Underwriting Departments on risk underwriting guidelines and processes.
  • Compliance to corporate governance and industry regulations and procedures.
  • Gather market intelligence to ensure company’s competitiveness and capitalize on market opportunities to identify trends and develop new ways to grow the business profitably.

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher
  • Minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) qualification or
  • Full set of General Certificates in BCP, PGI, CommGI and HI.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Good relationship building and customer focus skills
  • Good negotiation, analytical, decision making and underwriting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Self motivated, possess initiative and keen sense of accountability.
