Description

Acts as a trusted advisor and senior mobility professional, understanding stakeholders' needs including business goals and broader talent strategy at the company level. Main focus is in providing equitable experiences in talent mobility programs and policies while balancing cost considerations, risk, and compliance requirements.

 

As an integral Global Mobility team member, this role drives a total rewards practice through complex mobility case advisory and execution, effective day to day partnership with all partners and by strategic project management leveraging program data, tools and technology. Besides advisory responsibilities and enhanced global talent mobility support, incumbents in this role collaboratively lead mobility and cross functional projects focused on process optimization, knowledge development, program scalability, and stakeholders` experience. 

 

Responsibilities

 

1. Develops and strengthens relationships with business and talent stakeholders while acting as a trusted advisor and talent mobility partner, providing global HR and mobility expertise on designing and implementing solutions to meet mobility, talent and business needs.

2. Serves as primary mobility contact for business and employee during decision making phase to answer questions on policy selection, implications, and process. 

3. Possesses, implements and continuously strengthens mobility knowledge and expertise, keeping up with market trends and leading practices for effective mobility advisory and case delivery, including evolving circumstances (regulatory, talent and individual aspects of mobility services). 

4. Identifies aspects of mobility planning based on business and talent needs and provides options with considerations, adjusting and flexing approach as needed. 

5. Recommends both standard and alternative solutions by explaining to the decision makers policy framework, cost consideration, and talent impact on the particular decision. 

6. Provides complex case management support liaising with other team members. 

7. Works directly with internal stakeholders and external vendors to monitor service provided to employees. 

8. Proactively identifies program improvements based on internal advisory trends, operational activities and stakeholders` feedback. 

9. Supports the development, maintenance, and updating of mobility program tools, technologies, and communication platforms (e.g., checklists, forms, guides, intranet, SharePoint tools, etc.).

10. Manages day to day performance and operations of one or more mobility vendors (e.g., expense management, invoicing and payments, overpayment audit and collections) to ensure high quality and positive employee experience. 

11. Acts as a senior team member with business stakeholders for one of the following function related roles and secondary contact for one or more of the others: US and Global Immigration (e.g., complex immigration strategies, talent implication and employee-facing conversation of evolving immigration requirements.), Global Relocations (e.g., policy options consideration, employee needs analysis aligned with the talent strategy.) and US Relocations (e.g., talent considerations in a hybrid model, home sale program monitoring aspects, payroll and technology automation options and issue resolutions etc.) 

12. Participates in cross-functional and/or complex mobility projects at the enterprise level (remote work considerations, global ER case resolutions with mobility implications, cross-country processes, global talent initiatives etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree required, Master`s degree preferred 
  • 8-10 years of experience with international mobility, international compensation and/or payroll, mobility vendor management, tax consulting services and/or benefits program design and administration experience
  • Technical knowledge of global tax, immigration and compensation policies, practices and regulations
  • Ability to manage complex interaction with personnel outside of the organization
  • Global mindset and cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Problem identification, research and resolution capabilities
  • Priority setting, able to identify critical requirements and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills
  • Excellent consulting skills, including the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills and capability to identify trends and patterns in processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business process in order to effectively drive solutions
  • Proven experience in successful global project management, including development of comprehensive project plans as well as manage cost, timing, resources, vendor, risks and issues etc.
