Job Summary:
This individual will under finance reporting team and will be responsible and accountable for financial book close, audit and regulatory reporting activities. Being part of finance team, work closely with finance operations, FP&A and other teams in the company in producing various outputs and deliverables to Home office and other stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial book close – Focuses on completing the financial statement close process within a tight timeline.
- Perform reconciliation and analyze the inputs during the book close process
- Prepare supplementary information for Home Office submission
Regulatory reporting – Responsible and accountable for preparation of reporting activities:
- Support preparation of regulatory returns and supplementary information.
- Review business returns with manager and Finance Leader
- Communicate and liaise with all Business Heads for enquiries from regulators
- Support Hong Kong Finance Leader and Asia MCM relating to ad hoc reporting requests
Communicate, influence, and collaborate across multiple Business Units to operate effectively in the global organization, while delivering and meeting local requirements of the business, regulators and other stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance or other advanced degree
- 1 - 3 years of diverse Finance and Accounting experience, with the last 1 years in reporting and financial book close. Fresh Graduate is welcome
- Strong understanding of the Insurance Business and key business and performance drivers
- Strong understanding of accounting principles with the ability to interpret financial statements & data
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
- Experience on SAP is a plus
- Experience leveraging technology to support performance management process
- Superior analytical and critical reasoning skills with an ability to effectively communicate to all levels
- Proficient in English and Cantonese with Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in writing
