We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join Liberty Mutual’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) - Liberty Data Analytics (LDA) Pvt ltd. in India. The role will focus on effective HR delivery aligned with global standards while supporting local compliance; responsibilities will include HR operations, employee relations and policy, recruitment and onboarding and day-to-day compensation and benefits and payroll oversight. The ideal candidate should bring 10+ years of relevant experience in GCC/Shared Services/Global organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Build the Foundation - Establish core HR frameworks, governance, and operating rhythm for LDA.
- Define organizational principles including structure, spans/layers, and decision-making clarity. -Put in place processes that enable scale without adding unnecessary complexity.
Shape Workforce Strategy - Work with leadership to define how LDA scales—what capabilities to build, how teams are structured, and where to invest.
- Translate business priorities into a clear workforce plan.
- Balance speed of hiring with quality and long-term capability build.
Organizational Effectiveness - Lead org design and restructuring as the GCC grows.
- Work with leaders to improve team effectiveness, accountability, and output.
- Help establish a performance-oriented culture suited for a scaling environment.
Stand Up and Stabilize HR Operations - Build and stabilize HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations while aligning with global and regional APAC standards.
- Stay close to execution, especially where issues are high impact.
Talent & Market Positioning - Strengthen hiring capability and improve LDA’s positioning in the talent market.
- Play an active role in closing critical and leadership hires.
- Build early employer brand credibility.
Compensation, Benefits & Workforce Economics - Support compensation decisions in line with market, APAC regional and internal benchmarks.
- Balance competitiveness with cost discipline.
- Handle critical retention and compensation cases as they arise.
Employee Dynamics & Risk - Manage employee relations issues with a practical, business-first approach.
- Handle sensitive cases directly where required.
Data & Decision-Making - Use data (attrition, hiring, productivity) to guide decisions.
- Focus on actions and outcomes, not just reporting.
Leadership Role - Act as a thought partner to LDA & APAC leadership.
- Provide clear, actionable input on people, structure, and scaling decisions.
- Represent LDA’s people agenda within the broader organization.
Experience & skills: - PG/MBA in Human Resources
- 10+ years of HR experience, with exposure to GCCs, shared services, or global organizations.
- Experience building or scaling teams or functions from an early stage.
- Comfortable operating in environments where structure is still evolving.
- Track record of driving outcomes directly, not just through teams.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a matrixed setup.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws; APAC exposure is useful.
Competencies: - Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes (onboarding, payroll, Compensation & benefits, HRIS, compliance, exit management)
- Expertise in HR policies, labor laws, and statutory compliance
- Knowledge of compensation design, benchmarking, and benefits management
- High level of analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, HR analytics, and HRIS tools
- Ability to translate global policies into locally relevant practices while ensuring compliance
- Proficiency in Excel, Oracle Fusion HCM, and payroll tools esp. ADP preferred
- Accomplished stakeholder management and communication skills to operate in a matrix and global environment
- Process-oriented with ability to design, streamline, and automate HR operations
- Consultative mindset, able to advise and influence business leaders effectively
- Data-driven with the ability to interpret HR metrics and translate insights into actionable recommendations
