Senior Executive/Executive, Product-Motor, Underwriting

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will join our Product-Motor Underwriting Team in the Hong Kong office.  We will provide on-the-job training and opportunity for growth.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor top-line and bottom-line of the Hong Kong Motor Line Underwriting portfolio to achieve the business objectives set forth by management
  • Lead underwriting activities, development and provide high quality and timely servicing for designated producers and Distribution referrals, including but not limited to delivery of timely new and renewal business quotations, underwriting information gathering functions, closely work with Operating & Policy Administration Team in producing timely and accurate policy document issuance and management
  • Engage in relationship building with producers through visitation, and day-to-day contact by delivering quality services
  • Contribute and undertake special projects on underwriting appetite & reinsurance review, process improvement, and pricing excellence as require

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or above preferred, non-degree holders with relevant experience will be considered
  • Possess 1-5 years relevant working experience in GI multi-line or motor lines underwriting and/or placements (private vehicles and/or commercial vehicles); background in either insurer or brokers / agencies are welcome
  • Holder of IIQE Qualification Paper 1 & 2 a must
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer centric with a strong sense of ownership, resilient to pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
